How CashX works
CashX launches tokens on pons.family and pays their creator fees to an X account. The fees are harvested on chain, and 80% is paid to that account through X Money. Nobody has to sign up to be paid.
01Overview
CashX turns a token's creator fees into dollars for an X account. You launch the token on CashX, and it's created on pons.family, Robinhood Chain's launchpad, in the same transaction. The CashX contract is set as the token's creator fee recipient, and the launch names the X handle those fees are for.
The rest is mechanical. pons credits creator fees as the token trades, CashX harvests them, 80% is converted to dollars and paid to the handle through X Money, and 20% goes to the CashX treasury. Every harvest is split on chain, per token, and every payout is confirmed in public.
The recipient doesn't do anything first. There's no account to open with us and no wallet to connect. X Money decides who is allowed to pay an account, and anyone can ask us to stop (see Stopping payments).
02Launching on pons through CashX
The launch form calls one function, CashX.launch, which calls pons' launch factory. In that single transaction the token and its bonding curve are deployed on pons, CashX becomes the creator fee recipient, the handle is recorded on chain, and your optional first buy is made and sent to your wallet.
- Where it trades
- On pons.family: its bonding curve first, then a locked Uniswap V4 pool after graduation
- Launch cost
- pons' launch fee (0.0005 ETH today) plus any first buy
- Your first buy
- Goes to your wallet, exempt from pons' launch-window snipe tax
- Listed on CashX
- Only tokens launched through CashX. A token launched on pons directly never appears here
- Fee route
- Permanent. pons lets only the current recipient hand creator fees on, and CashX has no function that does
03Naming the recipient
You choose the handle when you launch. It's stored in the CashX contract at launch and can't be changed afterwards, by anyone. The form also adds this line to the pons description so anyone looking at the token can see where fees go:
Fees to @yourhandle via CashX
Descriptions are limited to 256 characters including that line. The recipient doesn't need to agree, know in advance, or hold a wallet. A token can be launched for someone, and the first they hear of it is the money arriving.
04Where the fees come from
pons charges its fee on every trade, on the curve and in the pool after graduation. CashX receives the creator's part of it.
- pons trading fee
- 1% of every trade
- Of that fee
- 70% to the creator (CashX), 30% to pons
- Creator tax
- 0-10%, chosen at launch, charged on top of the 1% and paid 100% to CashX
- Handle's share of volume
- (0.7% + creator tax) × 80%. With no tax that's 0.56% of every trade
05The 80/20 split
Every harvest divides the same way. There is no discretion, no tier and no negotiated rate.
- To the recipient
- 80%, paid in dollars through X Money
- To the treasury
- 20%, to the CashX treasury
- Applied
- Per harvest, in the CashX contract, and emitted per token
- Other fees
- None from CashX. pons' own fees are described above
06How harvests work
pons credits creator fees to its shared escrow. harvest(tokens) sweeps each listed token's pending fees into that escrow, measures what arrived for each one, claims the escrow and splits it. It's permissionless, and every destination is fixed in the contract. The keeper runs it on a schedule, because harvesting a quiet token too often costs more in gas than it collects.
pons sometimes sweeps fees on its own schedule, especially after graduation. Those arrive in the escrow without a token attached. CashX splits them 80/20 like everything else, and the keeper attributes them to tokens from pons' own events.
The dollar value of a recipient share is fixed at harvest time using the ETH price at that moment, and never recalculated.
Payout milestones
A handle's share builds until its lifetime total crosses $5, then $10, $20, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 and every $1,000 after that. Each crossing sends the full unpaid balance. Balances below a milestone keep building and never expire.
07Getting your fees
If a token named your handle, the money is already yours. There's nothing to claim here and no form. It's sent through X Money when your balance crosses a milestone, from a pre-funded float, so it doesn't wait on the off-ramp.
Receiving a payment doesn't make you a customer of CashX or a promoter of the token that named you. Money you receive may be taxable. CashX doesn't issue tax documents and nothing here is tax advice. Where the law requires information before paying, the payout waits as a held balance until we have it.
08X Money setup
Payments settle into X Money, so the only thing needed on your side is an X Money account that can receive. If the handle hasn't opened X Money, the payment arrives as a claimable payment with a window set by X, usually 14 days. X Money has its own eligibility rules (age, residency and availability), and a handle that can't meet them won't be able to claim.
09Unclaimed payments
- Claim window
- Set by X Money, usually 14 days
- Claimed in time
- The money is theirs
- Expired
- Returns to our X Money account and goes to the CashX treasury
10The public confirmation
Every payout is announced. @CashXapp replies to the recipient with the amount and the token it came from. Most recipients weren't asked before their handle was named, so the reply is how they find out, and it's what they and their audience can check the payment against.
11Stopping payments
Who may pay you is a setting on your X Money account. Turning off incoming payments there stops CashX paying you, the same as it stops anyone else.
You can also ask us directly: message @CashXapp from the handle, or email admin@cashx.app with reasonable proof you control it. We act within 7 days. The handle goes on the contract's do-not-pay list: new launches can't name it, and its share of any later harvest goes to the treasury instead. A payment already sent stays claimable for the rest of its window.
12Graduation
When a token's curve raises pons' graduation threshold (4.2 ETH today), pons moves the market into a permanently locked Uniswap V4 pool. CashX stays the creator fee recipient there, so fees keep paying. Buys and sells on CashX go straight to the curve; after graduation the token page links to pons for trading.
13Contracts
CashX is a single contract. It can launch, harvest and split. It can't move a token's fee route, and it holds no funds between transactions.
